Chapter 475: New Kind Of Experience
Chapter 475: New Kind Of Experience
Right now, everyone was in class.
Jolene stood at the front of the classroom with a smile on her face.
"I guess all of you must be really excited to know what your new practical training this weekend is going to be." She said as her eyes were also slightly excited.
"Yes!!"
The entire class answered in unison.
Including Amon.
He was genuinely excited to find out what they were supposed to face this weekend.
Was it going to be monster hunting? Or another dungeon exploration?
’Damn! Hope it would be something something amazing.’
Whatever it was, Amon was looking forward to it.
Turning toward the student beside him, Amon asked curiously, "Hey, Marcus. What do you think it might be?"
Marcus scoffed and crossed his arms. "I don’t know. Nor do I care."
He was definitely lying.
Amon knew that. Without a doubt, this young master was also looking forward to it.
This guy was acting like tsundere once again. Denying thing despite liking.
Around them, students were already whispering among themselves.
"Maybe it’s dungeon exploration."
"I hope it’s monster hunting."
"What if it’s survival training?"
"Please don’t let it be another written test."
Several students laughed.
Then Professor Jolene raised her hand and continued.
"We have been discussing this for quite a while. Though training and everything else are really important, studying and learning about other races, their cultures, and how they live differently from us are also important things to learn."
The classroom gradually became quieter.
"We mostly learn about these things through books. However, only a few people actually travel around the world and different nations to experience them personally."
Her words spread throughout the classroom.
For some reason, Amon already had an idea about what this might be.
A small grin appeared on his face.
Jolene continued.
"So... this year we decided on something special. It is only for second-year and third-year students."
She paused dramatically.
Then she smiled.
"You all will be visiting different places around the world twice a year. Once each semester."
The classroom instantly erupted.
"What?!"
"Seriously?!"
"A trip?!"
"No way!"
"That’s amazing!"
Even Marcus looked slightly surprised.
Jolene allowed the excitement to continue for a few moments before speaking again.
"Since all of you will be busy with missions next month, we won’t have time then. The month after that, you will have unit tests and will need to focus on training. Then, during the middle or end of the fourth month, you will have your semester examinations before summer holidays begin. Got it?"
Everyone nodded.
"Your second semester will be similar."
She smiled slightly.
"So this is more like a trip. It is meant to increase the bond between all of you, help you learn about different cultures, and allow you to experience them in person."
Her smile widened.
"Isn’t it exciting?"
The class completely exploded into excitement.
Students started talking loudly among themselves.
Some were already discussing possible destinations.
Others were wondering what kind of food they would get to eat.
Amon was one of the loudest.
"Hahaha!!! That’s amazing! We are going on a freaking trip!! Where?! Where?!"
"Yeah!"
"This sounds awesome!"
"I hope we go somewhere famous!"
"What if we visit the Elven Kingdom?"
"No, the Beast Kingdom would be better!"
"Silence!!"
Jolene’s loud voice instantly suppressed the entire classroom.
Everyone immediately became quiet.
She was satisfied, then she nodded.
"Okay. Now you must be curious about where your class will be going."
Everyone nodded eagerly. Some students even leaned forward in anticipation.
Jolene continued. "Each second-year class will be visiting a different place."
The room became completely silent.
After building suspense for a few moments, she finally spoke.
"After a long discussion, our class has been selected to visit the Abyssal Continent—Nerathis."
Several students blinked. Others frowned.
Then Jolene continued. "Which is the Southern Continent."
Now many students looked surprised.
"There, we will be visiting Morvanyr– the Demon Kingdom."
The classroom instantly fell silent. Not a single person spoke. Even the students who had been the loudest moments ago suddenly stopped talking.
Amon was also silent.
The words Demon Kingdom carried quite a bit of weight.
After all just few months ago. It was an enemy Kingdom for all human kingdom.
They were enemies for hundreds of thousands of years. No one actually knows when this animosity started between them.
So, Jolene expected that reaction.
A small helpless smile appeared on her face. "Haha! I guess this reaction was expected. But don’t worry."
The students listened carefully. "Now listen. As all of you know, we currently have a peace treaty with the Demon Kingdom. We have even begun building friendly relations with them."
Many students nodded.
"Our Headmistress personally met the new ruler of the demons—the Queen."
Jolene folded her arms.
"Unlike the previous ruler, who was obsessed with conquest and constantly sought to expand his territory while calling himself an Emperor, the current Queen is very different."
Several students exchanged glances.
Some seemed curious.
Others skeptical.
Jolene continued calmly. "She believes in improving her own kingdom rather than invading and destroying others."
The atmosphere in the classroom gradually relaxed.
"Because of that, Headmistress Isabel decided to send our students to the capital city of the Morvanyr Kingdom."
She looked around the room. "And do not worry about your safety. No one will harm you there."
Her voice became firm. "They simply cannot afford to."
That statement reassured many students.
Soon whispers began spreading again.
"I guess it will be safe."
"The Headmistress wouldn’t send us if it was dangerous."
"I’ve never seen a demon before."
"I wonder if they really have horns."
"Do they actually eat humans?"
The student beside him immediately smacked his shoulder.
"Idiot. That’s just a rumor. Its vampires who eat humans."
"Idiots! Vampire drinks blood, not eat humans!"
Laughter spread throughout the room.
Jolene waited until everyone calmed down.
Then she nodded. "Okay. It seems all of you are calmer now."
A smile appeared on her face.
"Be ready. We will leave this Friday morning and return on Sunday evening."
This time, instead of shock, the students reacted with excitement.
Many were already discussing what they should pack.
Others were wondering what the Demon Kingdom looked like.
Amon grinned widely.
"This is going to be interesting!!"
Beside him, Marcus sighed.
"Yes, I guess... but why our class?"
He still didn’t understand why their class had been chosen for this particular destination.
Amon smirked.
Then he poked Marcus’s shoulder with his index finger.
Marcus glanced at him.
"What?"
Amon’s grin widened.
"I know why our class was chosen."
Marcus narrowed his eyes suspiciously.
"Why? Tell me."
He had absolutely no trust in Amon. He was already expecting some ridiculous answer. Something idiotic. Which was normal, since Amon always spoke ridiculous things.
Instead of replying immediately, Amon pointed toward the front seats.
Where Seraphina and Eliana were sitting.
More specifically his finger pointed directly at Seraphina.
"The reason is obviously Seraphina."
